Here is a French book by Albert Girard, published in 1888 and entitled "NOS PETITS AMIS" (Our little friends). This book measures 26 x 20 x 1.5 cm or 10 x 7.5 x 0.5 inches and contains 150 pages. It contains many stories and engravings. The front cover depicts a red, gold, silver and black, full page view of a magic lantern show. The lantern is reminiscent of a typical French Lapierre magic lantern. The same picture is found a second time as a full-page black and white print within the book.
A French book with illustrated songs (c. 1900). It was written by Xavier Privas, illustrated by E. Malassis and published by La Librairie Mondiale. For magic lantern collectors the major interest of this book is found on the first inner page that depicts a magic lantern projection (this picture covers the entire front page). The size of the book is 25 x 32 cm and it has 90 pages.
