The square card board boxes always contain a set of 12 magic lantern slides, 3.25 inch (8.2 cm) square. The texts on the box read 'Superior Coloured Slides, 12 in a Box', 'With Lecture' and the number and name of the set (sometimes written by hand). Slides are protected by a cover glass; the two glasses are held together with a black gummed paper binding strip. A lecture leaflet is enclosed. Also All British T Series released a set of lantern slides about the Transvaal War. The complete set consists of five boxes of twelve slides, which is no less than 60 magic lantern slides. Below the last set is represented, part 5. The last slide shows a happy end.... the soldier is home again and united with his wife. |
