Oh, those young people nowadays! However vandalism, disorderliness, rag a policeman, also were also important issues in the 'Good Old Days'. Four old glass slides showing two street kids and a dog annoying a deplorable policeman. |

The size is 8.2 cm (3.25inch) square. There are 6 slides in the set and unfortunately number 5 is missing but the story is complete and works quite well without number 5. Manufacturer or retailer is Stokes & Watson, 6 Market Street, Manchester. |

These brilliant 3.5" x 4" (10 x 8 cm) magic lantern slides
are from
Ed. Liesegang, Düsseldorf, Germany. Liesegang was a family involved in
the manufacture, development and sales of magic lanterns, slides and
photographic apparatus. The still existing firm was founded in 1854. The
marvellous glass lantern slides are numbered #1, 10, 13, and 31. |

Lovely hand tinted glass magic lantern slide featuring a child holding a candle. The title is 'Off To Bed' and it was produced by Graystone Bird. It is 3 1/4 inches (82mm) square. This slide would have been very suitable to close a Victorian magic lantern show. Now it is here to end this page. Goodnight! |
