The children wait impatiently for mother to get them out of bed. The presents are displayed on the table under the Christmas tree. And what's there among the presents... a real magic lantern!

ST. NICHOLAS. Two wonderful Christmas slides from the series 'Visit Of St. Nicholas'. The slides are mounted in a 4" by 7" walnut wooden frame. The slide above has the the title " And He Looked Like A Peddler Just Opening His Pack" and it shows the Jolly Old St. Nick setting out the treasures from his bag.
		The manufacturer is T.H. McAllister, Optician, N.Y. and that name is stamped into the wood on both.

The same images as the series above, now on a set of 3.25" x 3.25" black and white slides, manufactured by Scheidig and Co., Manufacturing Opticians, of 43 Maiden Lane, NY.
	A single magic lantern slide, serial number 128 from 'The Unexelled Bijou Slide'. The slide contains three images which form a shortened version of the series above. "ST. NICHOLAS (Santa Clause) DEPARTURE" leaving on sled with reindeer...,  "CHRISTMAS NIGHT-HAPPY HOME", and "CHRISTMAS NIGHT-HOMELESS". Afmetingen 2,5 inch bij 8 inch, ca 6,3 x 20,3 cm.
	19th C. Magic Lantern Slide 'The Babe of Bethlehem'. Striking hand coloured lithographed slide showing the adoration of Jesus Christ with Mary, Joseph and the shepherds. Taken from a painting by William Dobson. This wonderful slide is framed in mahogany, size 7 x 4"; glass: 3" diameter.
Two splendid magic lantern slides measuring 4"x 3.25" (8 x 10 cm) showing the shepherds being told of Jesus' birth by an angel, and the shepherds worshipping newborn Jesus. Part of a Bible teaching series.

	Nice Santa Claus slide. Size: 8 cm x 4.5 cm.
	This is a set of four silhouette slides made by the Victor Animatograph Co., depicting scenes of the Nativity. The slides can be viewed by projecting, holding to the light, placing them on a light box, or against a white background. They are made of glass and mounted in a cardboard frame. Size: 3 1/4" x 4".
Slide # 9 from the set 'Doré Bible' from Primus Junior Lecturers Series. The slide is titled 'The Nativity'.
Oblong magic lantern slide made by Ernst Plank (E.P.). It shows among other things the crib and Father Christmas.
'Xmas Pudding'. A nice 7" x 4", mahogany framed, magic lantern slipping slide that shows a large Christmas pudding with cutlery. When the slide is operated, it reveals Father Christmas (dressed in his pyjama top), raising a glass of wine. 'Merry Christmas!'

This set of transparent images on cellophane (tol-sims) was made in France.
Finally some Motto slides, wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The slides measure 8.25" square.

	Colourful glass Christmas and New Year motto slide. There is a blank space at the bottom where a local merchants name was inserted. Slide is 8.2 x 10 cm.
