Een serie van 19 vierkante toverlantaarnplaten naar de geschiedenis van de kleine Emily, zoals die beschreven wordt in hoofdstuk 21 van Dickens' roman 'David Copperfield'.



Zoals in die tijd tamelijk gebruikelijk was had het boek aanvankelijk een veel langere titel: The Personal History, Adventures, Experience and Observation of David Copperfield the Younger of Blunderstone Rookery (which he never meant to be published on any account). Net als de meeste van de boeken van Dickens verscheen het eerst als feuilleton, in dit geval in de periode 18481850.
