This type of effect is usually executed as a single
slipping slite, where a glass with black spots alternately covers the moving
parts of the image. This slite works with a lever, cut from a thin brass plate.
This covers the head of the dog alternately. The plate is mounted in a wooden
frame of approximately 21.5 x 11 x 0.8 cm on which no markings are present. |

A lever magic lantern slide with a man in nightclothes holding a burning candle and a damper in his hands. While he wishes us a good night he extinguishes the candle. Moving the lever lowers the damper over the flame of the candle. Dimensions 9.5 x 17.5 x 1 cm. |
